Truck courts take the most punishing loads on an industrial site: loaded trailers, landing gear point loads, turning tractors and constant dock maneuvering. They are designed and built as heavy-duty pavement, not as parking lot concrete.

Pavement Sections

Heavy-duty concrete paving sections are typically much thicker and higher strength than commercial parking areas, with jointing laid out around the trailer parking pattern and turning movements.

Section thickness, base preparation and reinforcement follow the civil and geotech design for the actual axle loads and traffic counts.

Dock Apron Detailing

Trailer Storage Yards

Landing gear concentrates enormous point loads in a small footprint. Trailer storage areas are designed for punching shear and long-term rutting resistance, and jointed so loads transfer rather than pump at the edges.

Drainage & Grading

Truck court concrete has to shed water at the required slopes while keeping dock approaches level enough for safe trailer docking. Grades are set from the civil plan and verified by survey before placement.

Phased Construction

On occupied sites, courts are built in phases so dock positions stay in service. We sequence demolition, base work, placement and cure around operations and traffic control.

Replacement & Repair

Failed apron panels, rutted asphalt courts converted to concrete, and localized slab replacement are common scopes on existing facilities.

How thick should a concrete truck court be?+

Thickness follows the civil engineer's pavement design for the expected loads and subgrade. Heavy-duty industrial courts are substantially thicker than standard commercial paving.

Can you replace asphalt truck courts with concrete?+

Yes. Removal, subgrade correction and new concrete paving in phases is a frequent scope where asphalt has rutted under trailer loads.

How long before trucks can use the new concrete?+

Opening time depends on the mix and specified strength. High-early-strength mixes can shorten it when the schedule requires, and we state the assumption in the bid.
